Adjustment to a Memory Care Center

It's been a huge adjustment to go from assisted living to memory care. My loved one's dementia really skyrocketed, and we had no choice but to make the change. I think it's a bad time for all companies because of the Great Resignation. I know there has been turnover in the facility since we've been there. The facility she moved from was very small, and there was literally no turnover. So this has been a big adjustment. I don't think it has to do with Autumn Leaves. Good Staff at Autumn Leaves

This is a pretty good place for your loved one to live. The staff are great. The staff communication is pretty good with the family, especially during the week. The food is good. for my loved one. The community has activities for the residents, and it would be nice to see the staff encourage the residents in getting out of their rooms more.

Bad experience

Even thought the community was very clean, we did not have a good experience. The staff members were not as friendly as the other places our loved one had stayed and the care services were not good. Our loved one also thought the meals were terrible, there were no activities because she was pretty much quarantined the entire time. We also thought the value was way to high for what we were getting.

My mother-in-law moved in, and she's doing really well, so far. The communication is done mostly with my wife, but so far it's been really good. My wife has been able to talk to her on a daily basis when needed or if she's had an issue and the staff would call. For activities, I don't know about all the things that my mother-in-law takes advantage of, but I know she goes to the main area where they play Bingo whenever they have it.
