This is not a very good place in my opinion and that of my family and her friends. When we were looking for a place for our Mom it seemed like they were the perfect place but there were so many inconsistencies once our Mom was moved in. She did not receive the care we were promised and the staff consisted of very young non trained young persons who were almost never around. Review for Mill Creek Manor

Overall, 4 stars. This is the only location in northeast Columbia that has a patio-style living arrangement where she has a back door directly to the yard and can take out her dog. That's the best thing I can say about this place. The staff is constantly turning over, and they are short-staffed. In the dining area, the trash is not always picked up when it's supposed to be. Right now, the ants are crazy on the sidewalks, but since she has a dog, this is where she will have to stay. You can't compare this particul…

Mill Creek Manor was very good and very clean. The staff was wonderful, explained everything, and invited me to a dance, which I did not attend. Everybody seemed very friendly. Even the residents themselves seemed to enjoy each other's company. I was observing, while I was waiting at different times, how people interacted. They seemed very friendly and very outgoing.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

I would not refer anyone to this facility. My Mom with Dementia was not given a shower, no teeth brushed, no hygiene care at all for her first 8 days. My mom has to have her hygiene supplies kept with the staff because she doesn’t understand what they are and will brush her teeth with lotion, put toothpaste on her legs, etc. Her toilet was broken for over 3 weeks and still not working when we moved her out. They never would notify me if anything even though I am her POA. Their in home Rehab gave her 6 sessions of P…

The facility waa very nice and welcoming![Name removed], the Family Advisor is a gem! However as new family bringing a family to the facility, I would have thought the Executive Director who was on site and in the office across from from where I was doing the intake for my family member, would have taken the time to introduce herself and welcome us! Unfortunately that did not happen! I also noticed in the lobby area at the front door, the filter in the ceiling was horrible. It needs to be changed!

Positive -the front door staff. Negative- watching employees seeing how they treat patients that may not get a lot of visitors. Try to be as involved as possible and make unscheduled visits/non routine.
