I visited this facility

I went to Pico De Loro, and they gave me a tour, and we're working on getting my father in there. The manager was very nice and very personable. She took me on a tour of the facility. It felt homey. The room size is a little bit on the smaller side, which isn't too bad. They have two people per room. The room I saw only had one TV, so I'm worried that might be an issue for my dad. The place was spotless. It was very nice. They had a secure facility to ensure that nobody wanders off or anything. They …

When we went to Pico De Loro, I noticed the people didn't look lively, almost like there was little engagement. I know that they were engaging with them, but maybe it was the setting. They were nice, and it was clean, but it seemed only surface clean. It looked a little grungy and dusty. It had a horrible smell the minute we walked in the door. The person who took us around was nice, and they had a peacock on the ground and a colorful parrot like a macaw bird.

I am/was a resident of this facility

Rooms are clean. Meals r ok. I'm taken to store when needed, and to the bank. Most of the people are nice, however there are a few residents that should not be there, because of hitting other's, and yelling.

I didn't care for Pico De Loro myself. I wouldn't put my husband in there. The beds are old. He has bad back problems, and that doesn't work. The residents were all much older than him and he didn't feel comfortable. The staff took us on a tour and explained everything, and kept asking if we had questions, and she was very nice. The facility is pretty old. It looked clean, but it's not for him.

We went to Pico de Loro. When we visited I was a little disappointed because there was no one in the office, and so we stood there for ten minutes or so before somebody came out to assist us. That community was controlled. The people living there were in a room, and an associate was there supervising them. When we were associated with the person who gave us the tour we noticed that it seemed like the one that we were looking for is a young man. He's 64 with dementia, and he was with us, and it was upsetting fo…

Pico De Loro didn't feel like the best. The staff was good, but the place was a little bit dated, and you typically will share a room at that location. Personally, it wasn't for me, but there were a lot of residents, and they all seemed quite busy, which was good. When I went for a tour, they kind of weren't expecting me. However, the person who gave the tour was good. She knew exactly where to take me and what to show me. We toured the entire facility and all the grounds, which was nice. The dining …
