PositiveSilverado Newport Mesa was very nice. It was very appropriate for memory care. We spent a couple of hours there and just looked at the rooms and the facilities. It was very regimented. The staff was very kind and very engaging. She had a lot of experience with dementia and Alzheimer's. She was incredible. All the staff knew all their residents by name. The rooms were nice and the furnishings were nice. I noticed that all the residents had their food specifically prepared for them. They weren't ordering fr…

PositiveWe looked at Silverado Newport Mesa. They had a lot of attentiveness. A lot of people there, they have an intensive nurse, and it was very bustling and busy, and good for some people. The rooms were OK, they were fine, it's an older building. The staff was very good. They have more outdoor spaces than the other place I went to, they have a courtyard, and they allow pets. That was nice, but it's not for my dad. It's very expensive, but he has good long-term care insurance, so that helps. They have pai…

PositiveMy mother is at Silverado Newport Mesa and overall, it's been very positive, but the initial price they gave us ended up being more. Other than that, it's a very positive place. We're very happy with it. It's very clean, they've got animals there, and it's a pretty facility. The staff is kind and patient to their residents and their families.
★★★★★
PositiveI found this facility to be a great fit. The approach to care as quality of life is exactly what I am seeking.

CriticalMy dad lived here at this community. This place is for more independent living. They did get my dad up and out of the room. It was kept clean and nice. The people were nice. There are about 85 residents and only 10 caregivers. My dad needed a place that worked better for his needs. After taking him out of there we found out he was getting a lot of meds to drug him up so they didn't have to deal with him. He now is more alert and thriving.

PositiveSilverado Newport Mesa was a very nice community. It was very clean and the staff was very friendly. They offered a lot of amenities for the residents. We chose another community based on our loved one's needs.
