PositiveGreated by happy smiles and warm welcome. Showed me several places so I could get a better idea of the floor plans and sizes. Liked the grounds. Lots of activities to do. Transportation is available for Dr appointments and shopping. Adventure trips to various places. Cafe serves a variety of food for people who have special diets. The residents seem happy.

Overall it has not been a good experience. The apartment was supposed to be move-in ready. It was not. The kitchen faucet leaked so the maintenance man replaced it, but he put the new one on backwards. It took a month for him to fix that. The water heater had a gas leak. It took a few days for him to have the gas company look at it. He was told what part to replace, which he did but he never had it inspected afterwards. It still leaked. A month later they came to check the gas appliances and discovered we still had…

The people are very sweet and try to be very helpful. The problem is they say yes to everything but follow through doesn't seem to happen, example there's a lockbox on the Support handle outside my door that belonged with the couple that lived here before and I've asked since I moved in to have it removed and it's still there. My husband and I are in our late 70’s and decided we no longer wanted the hassle of keeping up a house. We have been at Solista Salem for 6 months now, and love it. EVERYONE is genuinely friendly and helpful. There has been some staff turnover, but none of the services suffered as a result. They have just painted the entire place and it looks great.
