They operate under limited staffing, so I would not recommend the place if your love one needs lots of attention. My mom is incontinent. I had to change her upon arriving to pick her up (she was receiving 13 days of respite care). I would not recommend that incontinent clients utilize the place. If you basically need a babysitter, it is probably okay. Management is great and are good listeners. Great facility if you do not have much money and your love one does not have big demands. Great place

The staff are very friendly and accommodating. But as is so common, there is an unfortunately high to staff ratio which leads to residents not having as much personalized attention as could be desired. But we are satisfied with the care and this facility over all the other ones in the area.

Unsanitary

Everyone is nice and polite, but the place smells of urine which means they must be lacking staff. Also, all of my mother’s washcloths are gone. Missing socks. I wasted my time putting her name on her items as the facility requested. Within the first month or so of being there she was loaded with fluid. They were oblivious to it. During the 5 months I rehabbed her, she had no fluid. I took her to a cardiologist who started Lasix. I requested a low sodium diet and told them to not give her processed foods. They seem…

I am very pleased with Spring Oak at Petersburg, overall. It has taken my dad a while to get settled, but now he is. It is very nice to know that he is safe and taken care of. I would recommend this facility to others.

some staff are exceptional and some are not

At Ivy Ridge some staff are exceptional and some are not. Most of the staff are exceptional. They have a singer come in and other activities. I would just like to see a few more activities. Their food needs to be more healthy. It's sandwiches, or hamburgers, and tater tots. When the staff first initially talked to us on the phone it seemed like they were more accommodating but once you get in they aren't as accommodating. Mom couldn't go to the bathroom on her own and the nurses only come in at specific times. They…

They were very helpful in getting my loved one in there and made some special circumstances because of her condition. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Everyone there at Ivy Ridge was just really good.
