CriticalMy mother fell and broke her hip and is in the rehab section of St.Camillus, being discharged in 2 days (thank god). We picked St.Camillus for her rehab because we thought it was one of the better rehabs around. I have to say I am very DISAPPOINTED with her stay. There are many reasons why, Here are some main concerns. 1. When the nurse button is pushed, you should never have to wait over 40 minutes for one to come to your room, but that is what happens ALOT. I was visiting my mom everyday (after dinner time) and I…

CriticalIf you want to eat oatmeal with a fork and no milk, never receive meds on time if at all, experience overly long call button waits to go to the bathroom, rude aides and nurses, aides and nurses who don't know or care what they should know about how to medically treat the patient, and lack of record keeping, then by all means book a rehab spot at St. Camillus. I went there on a Sat. morning after being released from a surgical unit in Buffalo ( I live in Geneva) and had to claw my way out of the facility on Mon…

CriticalThe three aids were wonderful especially well not allowed to say names, the pt and Ot girls were very good. The wait times from pushing the help button was sometimes too long. My big complaint is with the 2 doctors. The women doctor. reddish/auburn hair was to my opinion not up to par on her skills. Example the first day in. the OT girl who was from the above floor but thought maybe our floor could use help. came in and said he is all congested. I said I agree I think he picked something up in the hospital. She bro…

CriticalI have a relative who's been a resident for several years. She is unable to care for herself at all and is frequently neglected by the staff. She is often left in bed all day (she's unable to get up on her own - in a wheelchair). Nobody comes when call button is used. They do not make patients a priority. I have overheard staff members talking nastily to patients, including my relative. If you call to talk to staff, they constantly complain that there are only 2 staff members for 60 patients, and they are…

CriticalThe facility is fairly clean - my relative has been a resident for 2-3 months and his health has greatly diminished. There is a staff shortage and it appears information is not shared when shifts change regarding status of patients. Simple tasks of wound care, dental checks and updates take many weeks. Family is often treated in a dismissive manner when asking questions about their loved ones. The rehab OT, PT staff are wonderful - but would not recommend this for long term care patients.

CriticalMy father was a resident there for a few years. Upon visiting him on D Unit, the rooms always smelled and very profusely they smelled. I walked into his room and always saw many lights to other rooms going off while the aids just sat behind the desk and on their phones. People were screaming for help and I walked past many residents just drooling and and doing nothing. I always took him out on pass to get him away from that nonsense. Nurses were never to be found either. During the COVID, I spoke to him often as we…
