My aunt has moved into the Inn at Apple Ridge in Richfield. It's very clean, well-organized, and very safe. The staff is very polite and very helpful. They've got excellent medical care. The food is OK, but they're improving on it. There are lots of activities offered. Her room is very nice. There's great cooperation from the staff and the administration.

I went to The Inn at Apple Ridge. The tour went very well. They were very informative and very clean. It was a very cozy environment. I was very impressed with it. I think the residents there are happy to be there. That's their new home. The rooms were a nice size. However, in my opinion, if somebody were to go in, they might need to have carpets cleaned. Otherwise, the rooms were spacious, there was storage for clothing, and they had their own bathroom, so that was very nice. Everything was within each room I…

She fell on [date removed] and never returned to the facility. It would be helpful for others looking to know that it's 100% private pay- no Medicaid waiver beds. They need to offer fresh fruit on each plate. Also, there are tons of fruit flies - they would always be hovering over her food.

Every assisted living facility is very expensive, but overall I recommend the Inn at Apple Ridge. It did take them awhile to fix the freezer area in my loved one's mini fridge, but it did get taken care of. There are a variety of activities available, but I think some residents need reminders though.

My father is 80 years old. And although he is physically able to live on his own, we came to a point where his cognitive degeneration declined to the point where we felt he could not live on his own.
