PositiveEverything about Alden Gardens of Waterford was nice. It was beautiful in the way they have it inside. I like it overall. The woman there was very nice, very knowledgeable, and gave out information that we needed about the room that my brother would have been in. I saw the dining area, and it was nice. The apartments were also nice. It had an area where it had tables and chairs to sit if my brother had guests to come over. The only thing I didn't like was that the bed took up most of that room. He could probab…

PositiveI would recommend 100% because of everything they offer. The price is the highest I've seen but since they take Medicaid it ends up working out. We picked this community, because they could get my dad on Medicaid after his private pay money was gone. It had the best facility I had seen. Lots of activities, lots of staff great food and very pretty both the grounds and inside. Plus there were options for him if his condition worsened. It was the best of both worlds and not a dump like a lot of places.

CriticalAlden Gardens of Waterford seems like they have different buildings for the people. The assisted living must be in one, their nursing home in another, and their memory care in another area. It's older and I thought the room was tiny; mom's stuff would never fit in there. The price was expensive. The view was great because it looked over the waterfall and there were some swans. But the impression we got was that it's a lot smaller and expensive. My mom needs medication management, too, so that would i…

CriticalThis place felt more like a 55 plus community. The roads are poorly maintained. There is a lot of construction. The villas are noisy. There is no sense of community. The villas are contemporary and they have a lot of space.

PositiveMy mother stayed at Alden Gardens for 10 days for respite care. The place was great, but her room wasn't cleaned the whole time she was there, so it ended up pretty dirty, but the staff was wonderful, the girls in the dining area were helpful. She has nothing negative to say, except she never wanted to go back again. I thought the food was great. She was in an efficiency apartment and had enough room for her. It had a little kitchenette area and an alcove for the bed. It's a little pricey.
