Comfortable Atmosphere

A little over a year ago me and my siblings decided to transfer my Mom from a good, but more institutional environment to this homey, residential setting. We are glad we did. The tree-lined street of single family homes reminds us of the childhood neighborhood where she and Dad raised five children. Inside, she has a nice room with queen bed and sofa/TV that is steps from a warm and inviting kitchen where she can smell coffee and breakfast when she wakes up. Heartfelt Care In Homelike Setting

I would highly recommend the Avalon Memory Care facility because they provide a family home environment with a caring and respectful staff as opposed to a sterile institutional setting which we experienced elsewhere with my husband’s parents. The empathy that the company instills in their staff from the top down is unparalleled.

I Wish We Would Have Moved Mom To a Community of This Nature Earlier

My loved one's room was clean, as well as the common areas. My loved one seemed to receive good care from the community and the staff. This is a home like setting. The staff are kind, warm, and friendly. The community was open to feedback and working with the family to correct any concerns.

I toured this community for my grandfather. The staff was kind and very ; helpful on the questions I had. The community was clean and taken care of. The food seemed to be appealing. they would have had a lot of activities for him. I would recommend families to check out what is offered here for the great value and care for a family member.

a good home away from home

I was not informed of any activities that the caretakers do for the patients. My husband is in a wheel chair therefore, the ambulatory activities are limited or non existent. The PT people walk him from time to time. I don't know if the personnel do that. As far as mental activities; I don't know if there is an agenda for that. A suggestion would be to be sure to pass on information and instructions to incoming shift. All in all, from the times that I have spent at the house, everyone seems to be doing their bes…

Great Place

Our mother lived at this residence for over three years and my brother, sister, and I were very pleased with the love, care, and concern that the staff members gave her. She actually passed away there, surrounded by loving people. We could not have asked for a better environment for her.
