I visited this facility

I visited Bethesda Orchard's independent living community and have decided to move there as it's closer to where my son lives, and the price was more reasonable than some of the others. It has all the amenities that every place has. The only difference is that they only serve dinner or lunch. You can pick either one, and then you get breakfast. What I also like is that they seem to be well organized, and they keep up the housekeeping. Everybody also seemed cheerful.

We toured Bethesda Orchard. The one person we dealt with spent a lot of time with us. We went several times. She met us anytime we wanted. We could call or email her for information that we might need, so she's very helpful. It's a big facility. We chose Bethesda Orchard because of its location. It's very close and within walking distance to some restaurants and several little stores, including a grocery store and a coffeehouse.

I toured Bethesda Orchard. The community was nice. It's nice without being pretentious. I checked out their rooms. I don't know if I can live in that small place, going from a house to a small apartment kind of thing but I'm going to give it a try. The staff was very nice. She was very knowledgeable and pleasant. She was good.

My husband and I moved to Bethesda Orchard last July. It was a hard decision. We visited more than 10 places in the St Louis area. We are enjoying our experience very much. The staff is excellent. They are friendly, helpful and very dedicated. Also the residents are very friendly and inclusive. Every day there are more activities than we have time to do and have to chose which we want to do. It is very convenient to many things in Webster Groves and the City of St. Louis.

My Experience

I was previously a resident at Bethesda Orchard and my experience at this facility was just okay. However, I did not care for the management. Also, this facility had more of a corporate feel to it. Ultimately, I decided that it wasn't the best fit for me and I chose to move to another facility. Bethesda Orchard could be a good fit for some, but it wasn't for me.

Bethesda Orchard is a high-rise, it's got about five or six floors, and there's elevators. It's a fairly new building. They have about five or six different locations. It's a big operation. They have nice gardens. They are nice rooms, because it's a fairly new one. They have an exercise room, and a little library, they have an activities director. You're right into the town of Webster, so you can just walk around in the town itself. Everything is close by. There's restaurants near…
