The staff have been very helpful and courteous , the apartment has a bedroom, living room, kitchen area and bathroom . I would say the cleanliness is above average and there are plenty of activities. The residents are served three meals a day , with optional snacks available . My sister has been allowed to bring two cats to stay with her which helped with the transition to assisted living.

Our friend moved in and stayed one month and five days the next month and was hospitalized with pneumonia and ended up in another facility in long term care. For one full month and five days the next month he paid over [removed] dollars. The roof leaked in his room, the power went out in a storm with no generator back up, and his air conditioner went out the last day he was there before going to hospital. I would not recommend Brookdale Lake Brazos to anyone.

The staff have been amazing from the start and continue to be available for my Mother's needs. The facility is kept clean as well as the apartment Mother lives in. I see activities going on frequently including residents who gather together on their own to work on projects. The information of upcoming events is posted monthly and daily so the opportunity is there for everyone. The food is prepared and served restaurant style. Watching the staff interact with the residents, not just my mom, they very caring and attentive. The memory care director has very intentional activities. Mom's care plan is individualized, not just a one size fits all plan. We are extremely happy with Brookdale Lake Brazos!

Over all experience is probably a 4. The nursing staff is very caring and dedicated and would probably get a 5. The medical assistants are also almost uniformly excellent, with a couple of exceptions. Overall, they would probably get a 4. The dining room is good, and my Dad has gained weight since he's been there. He says the food is usually good, with occasional exceptions. Timeliness in the dining room can be inconsistent. Outstanding facility! I have had my Mom there for over 5 Year's. The Management and staff is hands on with the residents. The facility sets on beautiful property. The food is delicious and well prepared. Activities all the time and the staff is always right there with the residents. Total professional all the way around. You could not find a better place to put a loved one. I cannot say enough good things about Brookdale Lake Brazos.
