I was greeted with a friendly staff member and waited briefly for my tour guide. A new employee accompanied us as this was a part of her orientation as a new employee. All common areas were light and spacious. Residents seemed content and interacting. Information was clear and all my questions were answered.

Understaffed

Duke was under hospice care, therefore most of his needs were not provided by the facility. He was unable to participate in activities. Most of the residents on his unit also did not appear capable. The kitchen staff were wonderful and provided very good Meals. The staff I dealt with were nice and caring but were not happy working there. Often I found the unit extremely understaffed. I would love to give 5 hearts for the staff that attends to the resident's needs. It must be a calling for these amazing caregivers, as I imagine they are not paid well. The 1 heart applies to the Executive Director who fails miserably in follow-through and knowledge. Promptly returning phone calls is a courteous business protocol. Executive Administration Rates D-

There was no issue with the administrative employees only issues with the executive staffing. The original Executive Director was there one day and gone the next with no explanation given to the residents' family members. Also there were staffing issues with the aides. I was told that one of the aides had not come to work 10 days out of 14. My mother is relatively new in the facility. I think the staff so far is attentive, caring and friendly. I can't give it a fair assessment at this point. But today, a 3+. I am looking for the consistency in her care and professionalism continues.

Our choice for Mom

This facility is great, the staff takes good care of their residents. The director is very personalized with the residents. The facility is clean and the service there is very one on one I would recommend this facility to anyone.
