We toured Fordham at Baywood. It was closest to my daughter, almost within walking distance. Independent living would be good, but they're not associated with a care facility. They had a good-sized indoor swimming pool. Fordham has some nicely-sized facilities, and their apartments are very nice. And the reason I would be less likely to go there is that they aren't associated with a care facility. They have a dining room and a nice library. The people there are very accommodating. I toured Fordham At Baywood. It's close to me. I like the location. It's brand new. The room is completely set up. They have their own washer-dryer and stainless steel appliances. They even have one unit that didn't have carpet, which is a good thing, especially if you're using a wheelchair. Everything is nice setup. There are a lot of people there who are not only residents, but their kids who are over the age of 55 can be residents there, too. The staff who gave the tour was informative, very …

I'm living in a 55+ community right now. We're just looking for a cheaper place because we're paying $2,000 a month and my husband just lost his job, so when our lease is up we're going to be looking for something a little less expensive.
