PositiveEverything at Hermitage Senior Living was good! I would recommend this community to others who are currently searching for one.
★★★★★
CriticalThe staff is friendly and the facility is clean. My mother is in a 2 bedroom unit and it is quite spacious. They seem to have a lot of activities as well. They have both therapy and a physician on site as well as a beauty parlor. The only issues with this location is that it can use some updates. The elevators don't function very well which can be frustrating and is a bit scary as people are constantly getting stuck in them. PositiveEveryone seemed very nice, my father's apartment was very nicely renovated, the only problem we had was the fan in his bedroom keeps going out. The elevators as well seem to be very outdated and slow which means the elderly population that lives there has to stand around and wait. PositiveDay-to-day staff are very helpful but are hampered by inconsistent upper management. There are lots of usual senior activities available—just not my thing. The food is institutional and, in my opinion, not particularly healthy for seniors. The two-week rotation is boring. No fresh fruit or fresh vegetables. A chef salad is the only fresh vegetables offered, and now I won't eat lettuce. Basic hamburger/hot dog/McChicken-type sandwiches. Overcooked canned vegetables. Some fish, but it's fried. Cleanliness in the c…

PositiveMy Dad was only there 8 weeks and then he passed away but during his time there the staff was wonderful to my Dad he loved his apartment he loved the cafe and all the staff in there. I will never forget the people there myself. I miss my Dad every day, his death was a shock to me it still is but I'm grateful he was at a wonderful place during the last part of his life.
