It's tough time to talk with your dad about changing his lifestyle and getting him on board with it . Especially when they're an independent person that life has always been their way or the highway lol! But we love dad and we want to take care of him the best we can, and A Place for Mom was always there for me. Morada Burleson does a good job with activities. My mother-in-law doesn't participate much and they do a good job of kind of pulling her out of her room and getting her involved. They do bingo, raffles and things like that, and get all of the residents in the cafeteria, and get everybody involved. She seems to like the food most of the time. I am staying in Morada Burleson assisted living. I don't get help, but I get my meals. The food is terrible here and a lot of people are leaving because of it. It's not nutritional at all, very poor quality, very small portions, and just awful. The staff is also uncaring and they are just so understaffed all the time. The place is not too bad. It needs more cleaning but it's a nice facility. We don't have activities, or if we have it's very rare. We have a great big activity board of all th…

I am a resident of Morada Burleson. I like it here. It's kind of weird that they have a big turnover of caregivers. The food was terrible today. The chicken was raw. The chef walked out yesterday. We have bingo and some crafts. My room is a good size. We only have one maintenance man, and I think he stays pretty busy because there's like 77 people here.

The daily staff was very good with my mom and they seem to have very little turnover, which is usually a good sign. They were friendly and attentive to her. We did get extra help from HOSPICE last six months which made it better for my mom. The only really bad thing that happened was when a lady in a motorized wheelchair ran into the table where my mom was sitting in the lunchroom. She turned over in her wheelchair and hit her head.
