I was at Sellwood Senior Living. I loved the staff and all the people there, but when the rent was going up to $6,000, it broke me. I told them that about nine months before, that and the management there was wonderful in trying to accommodate me. The director told me 30% of the residents were on Medicaid. I stayed for almost two years. All I have to do is push the pendant that I have, and instantly, you get help on the phone, and then an ambulance will come. After ten years, my mom recently moved into Sellwood from another independent/assisted living community. She needed a step up in care and a more affordable place. She likes Sellwood even more than her previous community. It is a little smaller and her care is more personalized. She loves the daily activities and even likes the food, which has always been an issue for her. It’s well-run, they go the extra mile, and communication is excellent.
