PositiveWe place my mother-in-law in this faciltiy about 2 years ago. It was a great fit, it is small facitly with about 24 residents which had a home like feel. She had many good friends she made there. She was a vegetarian and they went out of their way to accomodate her. The manager and staff were amazing, they really show personal compassion and went beyond the call of duty. It isn't the Taj Mahal but was clean and nice. They kept the residents busy with games, music, town trips, ect. I would highly recommend this if t…

PositiveMy Mom has their smallest room, but it's adequate. She likes the food, and the staff takes very good care of her. Regular activities are available and seem to be enjoyable. It always feels clean, but I do wish they kept her room a little neater. Laundry is usually not neatly folded and put away.

PositiveVery happy with the facility. My Mom loves the food and has made friends. In-house prescription service is extremely expensive. Other than that very reasonably priced.
★★★★★
PositiveAll the staff is friendly and the food is good. It's a very relaxing environment altogether

CriticalI had to continually monitor whether my mom was being bathed. Many times I had to remind them . The lady that bathed her was very unfriendly and rough. It seemed she was always bothered if my mom needed help. I don't understand that because that is why she was there. The activity lady was awesome and very friendly. She is the chief attraction.

PositiveThe people at Southern Oaks Assisted Living were nice. The manager was nice and very informative. The room was tiny, maybe because of the price range that we're looking at. The upkeep was pretty good. It was lunchtime, so they were all dining. The staff was nice. I don't have anything negative to say about it. The dining area was good enough for the number of people that they have. They're a lot smaller than the other place, but the upkeep was good.
