CriticalMy mother is a patient in memory care there, and had a spell where she was very woozy and dizzy. All the nurses did was put her in a wheelchair and baby sit her at the nurses' desk! No calls to the medical director or the nurse practitioner--maybe her meds needed managing? The nurses did not call any of the siblings to notify us, and refused to give us any information about her. She seems to be left alone all day long, and I don't believe she is involved in anything there. It's hard getting the nurses to come give …

PositiveWe toured Stones River Manor. It has assisted living facilities, memory care, and long-term care. We were trying to get my mom in there, but they would not take outside people for long-term care because they say they hold the rooms for those patients who are in assisted living, so we didn't go back. We didn't follow through with that, although the facility was very nice. We didn't see any rooms other than a respite room. The admissions director was friendly and polite.

CriticalI am a family member of a PREVIOUS resident at Stones River Manor, although the facility appears to be above adequate for a loved one…Looks CAN be DECEIVING!! As this ONCE was one of the CHOSEN places to place a loved one in the PAST it has FALLEN far from grace, from Bed Bugs to Atrocious food quality to poor patient care. This place is ALL about the money, constantly going up in cost, they call themselves Assisted Living but ANYTHING they ASSIST you with is an ADDITIONAL CHARGE..The admin is very deceptive when i…

PositiveMy mother is in Stones River Manor. She's in memory care now. They have different levels of care. The main thing she likes is it's privately owned by the Churches of Christ, and she is a member there, so she likes the fact that she gets to have a service every Sunday. Most of the people there are members of the Church of Christ. That's the main reason that we're leaving her there because she feels comfortable with that. Other than that, the care itself was about the same from one place to the ot…

Positive5 stars is not adequate enough to describe the staff at Stones River. Before you choose a home for your mother or father, walk through several and then come to Stones River. This is a non-for profit facility so their ratio of staff to resident is off the chart. The previous place my mom was in there was one nurse for the entire facility. This place has a nurse per hallway.

PositiveStones River Manor is a very nice facility. To us and her parents, one with a spiritual-based environment is important. So, in that respect, it was good. However, they were expensive. It would have cost nine to ten thousand a month, which may be close to the others, but still high. The staff was very pleasant. We even met with the director, and he was very nice and very open. He didn't try to hide anything like, "Everybody's great, nobody dies here". Well, we know that's not true. He was ve…
