Sunnyside Meadows Memory Care

I visited this facility

Sunnyside Meadows Memory Care was kind of too far away from everything. The courtyard that they had was nice, and everything on the memory care side seemed to be pretty secure. The lady that I met there during the tour seemed very concerned about everybody there. She was concerned about my situation and she seemed nice. The building was new enough that it had a lot of areas for arts and crafts, a library, and other common spaces.

Sunnyside Meadows Memory Care is a lovely place. The staff is wonderful. My husband's very comfortable there. They cater to all of his needs, and I feel that he is safe there. It's a gorgeous facility.

Overall. They have helped with mom where we don't have to step in always. Mom fell last week and they called the ambulance and transferred her. She is better now. The facility is always very clean. For activity- Mom is not big on that but they do try. They are having a thanksgiving celebration next Wednesday for families.

Our family had an in person tour and the staff we met with were great but in the end it was just not the best for for our loved one

Worth Looking Into

I would recommend to double check to make sure the community is well staffed. During my loved one's time here the community wasn't staffed adequately. There were many times that I would check on my loved one and I wouldn't talk to the same caregiver twice. The Director was nice to work with. Some of the activities included listening to music, movement classes, and more for the residents to choose from.

My mother-in-law is in Sunnyside Meadows. It is very nice and it's new, and you have to have a code to get in. You go into a wide foyer and it has a receptionist there and you have to sign in and sign out. There are two sections off of one side and two sections off the other that are joined, but separate. They have their own little dining room/snack bar. The people are very friendly and very helpful with everything.
