PositiveThe Bristal Assisted Living at Lynbrook is fine. But it might be too overwhelming for my uncle because the facilities were sort of built for assisted living and independent living. And they just got their memory care license. Nevertheless, it seemed to be a really cool and active community. The facility and furniture were dated though. They have a movie theater and different rooms for activities, which is cool.

PositiveI like that The Bristal Assisted Living at Lynbrook isn't too big and that it is one of the cheaper places. It accepts Medicaid (should my mom would ever need to do it). She said the food is OK. She does bingo, Rummikub, and puzzles, too.

PositiveAfter almost a year, I was able to visit with my father in his room at the Bristal. The room was very clean, well kept and neat. There was an abundance of personal items and toiletries for Dad to make use of. The staff (including the director) was very pleasant, professional, and helpful; and the overall atmosphere there was welcoming and cheerful! Its great to know that the Bristal is getting back to normal, and my wife and I can't wait for our next visit.

PositiveWe have chosen The Bristal at Lynbrook for my mother because it's a little bit smaller than the other communities. We were gonna give it a trial and she tried it. I think if there was no COVID, I think she'd still be in our home. But because of COVID, and all the senior centers are closed, and she doesn't have access to much else, that's really why she had to go into assisted living to begin with; the social aspect, because she was so very lonely because of the pandemic.
