The Oaks of Granbury

The staff and help are wonderful. Negative, they cannot keep cleaning person. Every time I go I to visit I spend every moment cleaning. For the people who cannot clean themselves, the room is disgustingly filthy. I am not sure why we are paying for the cleaning. They need to hire a cleaning company and not rely on one cleaner. We are moving my mother-in-law after just one year of residence. Rates have gone up 3 times and not because she required more care. Every face but 1 or 2 is a new one. There has been countless turnover of staff. While our expectations were met when we first moved in, we feel The Oaks has really taken a turn for the worse in the last few months. The turnover with employees is at a medium level; dietary needs are (in my opinion) not met; residents seem to be well taken care of; surroundings of public gatherings are very nice; manager is excellent at defusing problematic situations. Residents are encouraged to take an active part in the activities. Price ranges from minimum needs of care to full range of care. I think this is the best assisted living home in Granbury that accepts all levels of assistance.
