The nurses are med techs are extremely professional and very caring. Sales people need to be more informed about the regulations on each floor regarding security access and meal plans.

Good and Bad

Facility and apartments are great….Residents are phenomenal…..service staff is great and now the Bad…..the 14-16% increase in one year of the monthly fee is catastrophic…. Either there was initial bad planning or inferior executive management….. I suspect the last…..an increase of [amount removed]k per year for many people who are on fixed income is a slap in the face for those any who paid much of their life savings to purchase an apartment…. There are many that are now considering moving to alternative housing.

Ventana is a great place

I would like to say that i have a family member in this facility. I am very pleased with the decision i have made. The staff is WONDERFUL. They have been very accommodating and welcoming.. anything that we have needed and ask for they have done it in a very timely manner. I would definitely recommend Ventana to anyone that made need an established such as this one.

Don’t Judge a Book by Its Cover

The facility is beautiful! But the care is severely lacking. If your loved one has more than 2-3 meds, hire your own CNA to stay with them. During the 3 1/2 weeks Mom was there, her meds were NEVER given correctly. If your loved one needs help getting to/from the restroom, I hope you followed the advice above. Forget the instructions to call the nurses desk if no one answers a call button within 5 minutes. That phone was NEVER answered. It was DAYS before they offered to assist Mom with a shower. This community was nice, however it just seemed to be over elegant it was just not really my loved ones style.

We did not have the best tour experience. When we showed up they were not expecting us and asking why we were there. The tour was thorough, I just did not like what I saw. It seemed cold and sterile. It seems like a place that is more geared towards younger more active adults. It requires a lot of walking.
